Corinna Stiehl

Partner, certified specialist for family law and inheritance law, certified mediator, and lawyer for collaborative practice

Corinna Stiehl has been advising private individuals and entrepreneurs on matters involving family and inheritance law since 2004. She specialises in family law and, according to the German business magazines Handelsblatt and Wirtschaftswoche, she is one of the top lawyers for asset protection and prenuptial agreement law in Germany. She has written an article on the entrepreneur's marriage contract in the Handbuch Familienunternehmen (Otto Schmidt Verlag). In addition to drafting prenuptial agreements to protect assets and prevent conflicts, she provides comprehensive advice on separations and divorces. This applies in particular to complex property disputes. She has been trained in the alternative conflict resolution procedure of collaborative practice ("CP"/"Collaborative Law") since 2015 and regularly practises as a lawyer in CP proceedings in which the consequences of a separation are settled amicably with the support of a lawyer. Corinna Stiehl has been practising as a mediator since 2008.

As a specialist in inheritance law Corinna Stiehl also focuses on succession planning for wealthy individuals and entrepreneurs. This includes assistance in cases involving a change of the matrimonial property regime to prepare for succession, the drafting of wills as well as the provision of advice following the death of the testator on all relevant issues (claims to compulsory portions, inheritance disputes, etc.). When providing succession advice Corinna Stiehl also uses the means of mediation where necessary. That way, family members and their interests can also be included in the succession planning based on the principles of mediation.
