Dr Wolfgang Patzelt advises on public law, in particular on construction, nature conservation, species protection, water, soil protection, monument protection and immission control law. One focus of his advice is on representing project developers, investors, municipalities and planning authorities in connection with renewable energy projects, primarily wind, photovoltaics and battery storage, but also in the classic real estate sector. We provide comprehensive support over the entire life cycle of the plants, in particular planning, authorisation, ongoing operation, repowering as well as the acquisition and sale of projects, including the associated drafting of contracts.
He also specialises in advising project developers and investors on the rapid and legally compliant enforcement and structuring of building law. He also advises projects in the residential/commercial/industrial sectors and represents local authorities in urban planning law. In addition to his involvement in zoning plans, he concentrates on drafting town planning agreements concerning the development of building land, the creation of communal building land concepts and models meeting the housing needs of the local population as well as the development of new quarters or town districts, e.g. via urban planning development measures, using above all cooperative models. Dr Patzelt also represents councils and owners in connection with large-scale infrastructure projects (roads, rails, airports, waterway construction), in particular the necessary planning approval procedures including expropriation and compensation law.
